What we pick up in a moment
Can be carried for a lifetime
If we fail, or never think to let it go.
We attach to what’s presented
Must be mastered as we’re forced to undergo.
Any longing or desire,
Fed by passion or temptation,
Adds to existential pain along the way.
Wanting mostly leads to missing.
To reduce the total burden,
Train to throw it off and learn to look away.
