From Innocence to Righteousness
We undertake a pilgrimage
from innocence to righteousness,
which may include a falling into sin.
The perfect route to rectitude
is easily corruptible
by where we’re coming from or where we’ve been.
Arriving at the turning point
is our responsibility
if we’re directed to the long way round.
A rise from any altitude
is equally achievable
for they who choose to reach for higher ground.
